Why Ashvord exists
Wore six different jackets.
None worked.
Built my own.
I spend a lot of time outdoors — hiking, traveling, working in all weather. Everything I tried was too military, too techy, or fell apart after a season. So I stopped buying and started building. The Hybrid Jacket is what I actually wear — every day, in the woods, in the city. If it wasn't good enough for me, it wouldn't be good enough for you. Two years later, it's still the only jacket I reach for.

Is the Hybrid Jacket Hooded waterproof?
Not fully waterproof — and we'll be straight about that. The DWR coating handles light rain, drizzle and splashes well. For heavy downpours, layer it under a hardshell. Think of it as your go-to piece for 80% of weather, 100% of the time.
How does sizing run?
True to size with an athletic tapered cut — built to move with you, not hang off you. If you plan to layer underneath or prefer a relaxed fit, size up. Check the size guide below for exact chest and sleeve measurements.
What's the difference between body and sleeve fabric?
The body is 65% polyester / 35% cotton — softer, breathable, comfortable against skin during long wear. The sleeves are 100% polyester — more abrasion-resistant for when you're pushing through brush, carrying a pack, or working with your hands.
Can I wear it every day or is it only for outdoor use?
Both. The Hybrid Jacket Hooded was designed with that crossover in mind — functional enough for the trail or worksite, clean enough for the city. The Black and Green colorways work well as a daily driver.
How does the detachable hood work?
The hood detaches fully via zip — wear it on for rain and wind, remove it for a clean jacket look. When attached, the drawcord lets you cinch it down tight. It packs flat when zipped off, so you can carry it in a bag pocket as a backup.
What are the elbow slots for?
The reinforced elbow slots are insert-ready — built to accept standard elbow pad inserts for technical work, rough terrain, or extended field use. The Hybrid Jacket ships without pads, so you wear it as-is or add your own.
How do I wash it?
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, hang dry. Skip the tumble dryer — heat degrades the DWR coating over time. If water stops beading off after several washes, a short low-heat tumble (10 minutes) can reactivate the coating.
